Before You Move
1. Documents

2. Financial
- •Open a TRNC bank account (requires passport and residence permit)

- •Arrange tax advice — dual tax residency implications
3. Housing
- •Research areas — Kyrenia (tourism), Nicosia (business), Famagusta (students)
- •Book temporary accommodation for first 2–4 weeks
- •Arrange viewing trips if buying or long-term renting
- •Understand rental contracts — typically 6–12 month minimum
On Arrival
Week 1
- •Register at your local Immigration Office within 90 days

- •Open a TRNC bank account — required for residence permit
- •Get a local SIM card — Turkcell or Telsim
- •Register with a doctor — required for medical certificate
Week 2
- •Find long-term housing
- •Set up utilities — electricity (Kıbı-Tek), water, internet (Telsim/MMT)
- •Register children at school (if applicable)
- •Get health insurance — mandatory for residence permit
- •Apply for TRNC driving licence (if staying over 6 months)
Week 3–4
